The next morning... (Roderich)

Simon woke up in a tangle of blanket. The sunlight seeped through the cracks of the shade. "mmh!" He moaned quietly, and turned his back to the window. Shutting his eyes, he tried to go back to sleep, but he was awake and that wasn't going to change.

Simon sat up stretching. It felt good after a nightmare like he had last night. There was a serge of confusion and panic that flashed through him. He stopped in midstrech. It felt just the way it did in that bad dream of his, but it felt too real to be a dream. "Had that really happened last night?" Simon tried to think about it. Though, it happened all too quickly, and a partial blur. This made his head ache, and the two strange emotions that were running laps in him didn't help either.

He looked over to the little clock which read 10 A.M. This was later than he usually slept in. Simon wondered if his brother already left for work, and little did he realise it was a day off for Roderich. He shuffled into the living room. "Roderich...?" He called out groggily.

Roderich awoke with a low groan. His whole body ached, and his head throbbed terribly making him extremely sensitive to the light that was pouring in through the living room window. Clenching his eye shut tighter he rolled to his side before pushing himself up.

Squinting from the irritating light he glanced around the room, frowning as he saw his radio scorched on the carpet. What happened? He wondered, but he remembered quickly as a jolt of pain shot through his body as he tried to stand. That was right, he had gotten a horrible shock from the lightning thanks to his radio. "I have to get up..." with that he carefully stumbled to his feet, and quickly regretted it. Gasping he keeled over and collapsed on the nearest thing, which thankfully was the couch. When a jolt of pain rushed through his head along with dozens of faint murmurs, he bit his lip trying to push the voices away. Was he going crazy? What was all this? Roderich felt the beginnings of panic setting in, but he refused to give into it.

Nien, I must not panic! With that he forced himself to sit up, no matter how much his body protested he had to move. He looked up and towards the hall when he heard someone calling him. It seems Simon was awake now...Hopefully his brother was alright and didn't get hurt during the storm. "I'm in here Simon." he called.

Simon winced, the same way Roderich did when he sat up. He walked over to his brother, each step made the pain he felt clearer and clearer. "Are you alright?" He almost croaked. He felt a worry rise up in him, for both Roderich and himself. Simon couldn't explain why he felt sore. Last he checked there wasn't a scratch, nor bruise on him.

There was an awkward pause as he stood by Roderich. "You don't look so good..." This time, he did croak. Simon sat next to his brother. He wanted to ask about what happened last night, but he wasn't sure if it was in his head or real. Not only that, but did it only happen to him. By the looks over his brother, the experience was not just his.

Roderich frowned a bit when he saw his brother come into the living room, it looked like the other was in pain just by walking. And Roderich thought he caught the slightest quiver in Simon's voice when he asked if he was alright. What was wrong with his brother? Could the storm have injured him the previous night as well? It didn't look like his brother was hurt, but then again Roderich felt terrible and he didn't have a scratch on him either.

Roderich's eyes widened with worry when he heard the croak in his brother's voice. He was unwell! He thought and turned to face him when he sat down, "It is because I'm not feeling so good this morning..." he said answering the other's previous statement. "But never mind me," he said as he pressed the back of his hand to the other's forehead. "How are you feeling? I heard that croak of pain in your voice." he said before the other could protest.
