A Good Day for... [Matthew Williams] Empty
PostSubject: A Good Day for... [Matthew Williams]   A Good Day for... [Matthew Williams] EmptySat Feb 04, 2012 9:59 am

It was a very nice day, Francis thought as he walked in a slow pace through the park, basking in the sun like a cat sleeping on the window sill would. He really loved the sun - it reminded him of the days he spent on the beach when he was back home in France. Oh, sometimes he missed his country. But he was content living in London - he liked the life that he had here. Liked the people that he knew. Like the places. Liked the weather when it was sunny like it was on this very day!

He walked around aimlessly for quite a while, just looking at the different things that were around him, the rare person that passed him by. Oh, how nice life was on peaceful days like this. He might like his life to be wild and full of fun things, but peace and calm was something he really loved.

Finally, he ended up on a bench in the middle of the park, placing his side bag on the spot beside him. He always had his bag with him in case he would suddenly get an impulsive idea to do something, so he always had his pre-caution necessities with him wherever he went. Aside from the times he went to places where he knew he wouldn't need it.

Leaning back, he closed his eyes for a moment and looked up towards the sun, wondering why there were so few people outside now during this fine day.

A Good Day for... [Matthew Williams] Empty

Matthew looked up at the sky as he entered the park. Damn, it was bright today. He was glad he put on sun lotion, otherwise he might burn (Never mind the fact that he was burning already, sun lotion and ready-to-burst-zits did not go together). He checked to make sure his immediate path was clear before setting down his skateboard. Time to start skating! He hadn't had time in weeks, because he was too busy with his computer programming course, but now he had the time to wiz about on his board all he liked! He placed one foot at the front of his board and used the other foot to push himself forward. It started slow at first, but there were lots of ups and downs in the park so he'd picked up speed in no time.

The wind rushed through his hair and blasted his face. How very refreshing. He weaved in and out of various people walking their dogs or taking a stroll with their lovers, but when a bike came racing by, Matthew had to swerve sharply, meaning he didn't see the large stone in his path, meaning his skateboard wheel encountered it, meaning it flipped over, and that sent Matthew flying through the air with a high pitched cry. Oh, oh how he wished he'd chosen to bring his helmet, why had his pride gotten the better of him, and please dear god let there be something to cushion his fall.

And there was. Because Matthew, much to his embarrassment, flew right into the lap of a blond-haired man. A stranger. Oh. God. Why.

A Good Day for... [Matthew Williams] Empty

Francis had opened his eyes as he heard someone cry out, wondering who was disturbing his peaceful moment with his own thoughts. How rude, people were trying to have a good day! Slowly he turned his head - Just to see someone flying towards him. His eyes grew big, and in an instant he covered his face with his arms and shrieked loudly in fear as the person just came closer and closer - and he prayed to God that just hopefully this wouldn't hurt.

He didn't expect that the young man would fall onto his lap. The sudden weight on his legs gave him enough of a scare to make him lose his breath, his arms slowly moving away from his face so that he could take a look at who it was that had used him as a landing spot. It was strange - it felt as if he had seen this person before, but where? He had no clue.

Ah, this was not how he had expected his day to look like.

"Oh dear... You 'ad me scared for a moment, there," he sighed, not doing much more than to wait for the stranger to get off him. Wouldn't want to accidentally shove someone who was hurt, and make the damage any worse. "Are you alright?"

A Good Day for... [Matthew Williams] Empty

Matthew groaned and pushed himself upright, shaking his head slightly. He was vaguely aware that he was using the other's thigh to push himself... It was a stranger, that was bad. he sat up, alarmed, got dizzy, and toppled back the other way, onto the bench. His skateboard had rolled innocently under the bench, he could just see it if he turned his head awkwardly. "S-Sorry..." He sat up again, this time successfully, and put a hand on his aching head. "I'm fine... Just rather out of whack from that wild moment of flight..." Matthew's feet had been off a solid surface for longer that he'd ever wished them to be in his life. He ran his fingers through his tangled hair and gazed at his lap. "Are you ok? I did kinda ram into you... That couldn't have been too nice..."

The wind blew again, gently and innocently, causing his skateboard to rock back and forth slightly. "Oh!" Matthew leaned over the seat of the bench and peered underneath it, up-side-down. He reached out and grabbed the skateboard, and wobbled, threatening to tip over and injure himself even more, but sticking his foot out and hooking it on the back of the bench saved him, and he righted himself, clutching his skateboard protectively, awkwardly clearing his throat and looking back at the man. "My name is Matthew..." His words came out in a shy mumble, ducking his head.
