Childhood/Growing Up:

The fundamental introduction to this peculiar narrative has no constitution within expressive theatrical dramatics; the foundation of this intriguing tale procures the essence of humility, simplicity, and integrity. Gupta Mohammad Hassan was brought into this beautiful world through the effectuate unity of a compassionate, sympathetic, and magnanimous couple that were venturing forth to achieve the desired aspiration of building a small family. The arrival of the darling newborn was astonishing as he was delivered two weeks before the set date of event. Gupta’s mother had experienced excruciating contractions during her visit to the bustling town market with her admired husband early in the morning on February 27th, and it wasn’t until the following afternoon of February 28th that she was able to look upon the innocent face of her precious baby boy. The joyful couple was beyond ecstatic to welcome the enchanting child into the family, and were more than eager to bring Gupta to the delightful house that awaited for his presence. However, the medical staff at the hospital insisted that the premature newborn reside within hospital care until they could confirm that the child was of exceptional heath. Gupta remained under the attentive consternation of the Intensive Care Unit (I.C.U) for the exceeding week. Doctors were baffled by application of environmental awareness that the petite infant had in direct connection to his surroundings, however, the absence of noise from the child perturbed the medical physicians. Gupta’s parents were immediately made aware of the disturbing circumstance that had been creating such a tussle of confusion; there was a possibility that the infant had autism.

Autism is a spectrum of developmental disorders that share a core of symptoms. Autism spectrum disorders emerge in a child’s infancy, to which elicits interruptions in basic objectives of a child’s flourishing development. The horrible information did not upset Gupta’s parents as they knew in their hearts that the child that had been given to them by Allah was an image of perfection. Gupta’s mother was thoroughly convinced that, despite the negative reaction administered by the medical staff, her son was going to lead a normal life that was full of success. Perhaps, in retrospect, it would have been much less of a hassle to attempt to understand their brilliant son if they had accepted the diagnosis. However, Gupta was not a victim of autism. He was just a man of profound silence.

Gupta’s blissful childhood was filled to capacity with radiant wonder, vivacious enthusiasm, and an rapacious appetite to learn. The moment that Gupta had been able to thoroughly understand the complex concept of reading he vigorously threw himself into the enticing universe of exquisite written literature. There was not a book that was safe from Gupta’s avaricious fingers as he wanted nothing more than to immerse himself in the presence of a wonderful book. Gupta’s father went to great extents as to ensure that his son was not deprived of such a positive attribute. The young boy politely requested his favorite books for his celebrated birthday, and begged his father to read to him before laying down to rest. The exhilarated vigor that Gupta had for learning did not diminish upon the acceleration of elementary school. He thrived in the educational system as he took advantage of every academic class lesson given by his teachers. The petite boy was set into an environment that provided him with a comfortable atmosphere to explore the world of knowledge. Teachers expressed concern occasionally as they noticed Gupta’s deficit of speech, however, when the realized the effort he put forth into his schoolwork the troubles fluttered away. Teachers began to excuse Gupta’s reluctance for verbal communication with a simple solution; he was evidently shy. The academic mentors did not want to push Gupta to feel uncomfortable in fear that his reserved nature would withdraw him from participating in class as to protect himself from feeling pressured. He was left to be as he was, and the teachers believed that in time this little quirk would soon fade away with the rise of a self-confident individual. Unfortunately, another horrible assumption that failed to be of truth.

Gupta was a young intellectual who developed a thorough confidence in his capacity to achieve formidable academic scores, but as middle school approached there was a great change waiting for the thriving student. Gupta’s minimal articulation of communication had never been much of challenge as he used other forms of exchange to exhibit his words. When the young boy was hungry he would go to his mother as to tug gently upon her arm; if he were ever upset he would begin to chew the inside of his cheeks; when excited/happy he would sway left to right while gently tapping his feet on the floor. Gupta developed quirks that allowed those within his immediate influence to understand his inner emotions. Elementary school did not present much of a social demand to Gupta as he was surrounded by the accepting innocent of naïve children. However, middle school was far different than Gupta could have ever imagined. Suddenly, the winds changed directions. Gupta found himself confronting the vicious terms of social popularity amongst his fellow peers. He began to realize that there was a distinct division among the students; a hierarchy of social importance. It was extremely frightening as the struggle for peer acceptance shook Gupta to the core. Students began to take notice to Gupta’s odd behavior, and often teased him for such. In addition to Gupta’s absence of social skills, he was quite small for his age. Male classmates harassed him relentlessly because of his height, and female students consisted of conceited personalities that declined the offer of friendship with a “dweeb”. Middle school exposed Gupta to the torment of self-acceptance in association to peer-acceptance. An internal competition accumulated within Gupta’s turbulent conscious as he fought between who he was in relation to who he felt his peers wanted him to be.

Episode Two: Gupta and the Titties
High School was an exceedingly contrasting experience in evidential comparison to that of Gupta’s exposure to the horrors of middle school. Throughout the extended term of Gupta’s first year in high school he was able to comfortably mesh into the madness of what most teenagers fear to characterize as: “The most critical moment in my life!” Fortunately, Gupta had been able to effectively elude the foreboding anxiety that teenagers often endure when transitioning into high school. Social pressures were still of existence, however, the burden of such standards were scarcely acknowledged by the blossoming student. Gupta was flourishing into a bold/dignified individual of respected stature. Extensive popularity as well as universal social-acceptance would continue to be a issue for the quirky eccentric, however, it was not of extravagant prominence as Gupta was able to develop the value of self-respect. The bright student was set into classrooms that were indubitably prepared for honor student, and thus, Gupta was often surrounded by individuals who shared the same burning passion for education. The adolescent immediately discovered a satisfying position among the bustling community of high school. Freshman year was a magnificent term of academic success, and the following Sophomore year was of exceptional progressive achievement for the triumphant student. Unfortunately, Junior year had a few cumbersome obstacles for Gupta.

Sexuality is a problematic/troublesome subject for an individual that maintains a reserved disposition while inhibiting emotional vulnerability. Sexual curiosity was never a thought of capacious contemplation for Gupta as his perception of the act of virtue: It was an act of passionate love that was strictly reserved for a devoted married couple. However, most adolescent males of Gupta’s age did not reciprocate this innocent vision. Thus, there were a few events in which Gupta was exposed to the indecency of teenage boys under the influence of raging hormones. The first of such disturbing occurrences transpired one gorgeous day in the wake of spring. Gupta had been returning from lunch as to attend his next class, and took a moment to collect a few belongings from his locker. When the young man opened his locker to assembly his supplies he was struck with horror as his eyes fell upon a inappropriate porn magazine with a message posted on the front: “Pass it on!” The young man fell into a vicious panic attack: sweating, trembling, chest pain, nausea, hyperventilation, and dizziness. Gupta froze as he covered his ears with his hands in an attempt to find security through silence, but the young man found himself plummeting into a pit of terror.
